Backing track for the solo for the studio (American Beauty) version of Box Of Rain. Original solo performed by David Nelson (New Riders etc.). I made the video before I knew that Nelson played the solo, so in the video I talk about it as though Garcia played it. Didn’t bother to re-shoot the video…it’s a great solo in any case, and if you’ve heard this song a million times like I have, it’s super familiar. A bit of an insight into the classic country/Tele style, which is not that big of a leap for fans of Jerry Garcia.
