A Ionian
Play Track:
A ionian track
Notes:
Chord progression:
| I | V | I | IV | I | V | IV | I |
Example in A major:
| A | E | A | D | A | E | D | A |
IMO, with a progression like this, very straightforwardly A major and always resolving back home to the A, you don’t need to follow the chords as much as you just need to time your resolutions so that you land on chord tones that belong to the A chord as the progression returns to A.
